Louis van Tonder

National Director - CEFSA
Louis knows the importance of reaching another child for Jesus Christ. He is faithfully involved with a GNC in Actonville in Benoni. In addition, Louis spear-heads many trainings and CEF out-reaches into Mpumalanga. The latest was the National CEF Target-a-Town in Evander, Embahlenhle and Kinross, where with a team of 13 CEF workers, they ministered to 12 of the local schools, impacting over 9000 children.

Now he takes on an added role of National Director of CEFSA as from November 2016. Prayerfully with the previous National Director and the leadership team of South Africa, he desires for CEFSA to have a bigger role and impact throughout South Africa.

In order for this to take place, he seeks the financial partnership of like-minded people, who desire to impact a child's life ONE-ON-ONE, to be willing to give R101,00 per month for one year.

Alleweya Goss

Volunteer Worker - Eldorado Park
Alleweya comes from a CEF home where her mother at a tender age of 5 led her to the Lord.  She always wanted to be a missionary.  After completing teacher’s course and working with children she desired more.  Completing her CMI in America she became fulltime involved.  The need in schools was so great (during the turmoil years)!  God used her in a local High School giving Bible Studies and Religious Instruction.  That was the best years of her life, being paid for reaching the unreached.  During the early 90’s she was lead to open several crèches creating work but also reaching children, dicipling them etc.  Twelve years later she started a Christian school with the same vision reaching unreached children.  Every week 1200 children hear the good news and many lives were changed.  Furthermore, 4000 children were taken to camps and thousands more trained also because of a mother being involved in CEF.

Ashby Abraham Kurian, together with his wife Pearl, has faithfully served CEFSA since 2008 as full-time missionaries starting in Merewent, Durban, KwaZulu Natal. From 2008-2015, God has used them to build the work of CEF in Merewent, through working closely with the local primary schools, St. Monica's Childrens Homes & home-based Good News Clubs in the communities. In 2016, they shifted into their next area of service - Chatsworth, Hillary and the surrounding areas of Queensburgh.

In addition, they are serving as the CEF KZN Provincial Directors working together with a team of Mark & Roxanne Shingleton, Rosemary Jacobs, Sharlene Pillay, Shaun & Nicole Marais, and over 50 volunteers throughout KZN, they are reaching over 50,000 children on a weekly basis through:

From 2009, God has opened 16 schools in Merewent, Chatsworth, Hillary and Queensburgh to the work and ministry of CEF. They have seen the relevance of CEF and what it provides to the learners as well as the staff. In addition to the above, God has opened doors to successfully counsel troubled learners as well as educators.

Under their personal supervision, they monitor over 50 Good News Clubs (similar to wayside Sunday Schools) that take place in communities, schools and creches in areas from Sezela to Merebank & Wentworth to Chatsworth, Phoenix, Hillcrest, Veralum etc.  They eagerly desire to start more clubs throughout KZN esp. in Port Shepstone and Richard's Bay but NEED CHRISTIAN CHURCH-BASED VOLUNTEERS to train and eventually hand over the clubs once established. If you are interested in starting a club in your area, please contact them using the details below.

They have conducted trainings for Sunday School teachers from various churches throughout KZN and also in-depth training for those who wanted to become Good News Club Teachers, teaching the children in their neighborhood. For the latter, they even CEF material FOR FREE to assist in their ministry.

In addition to the above, God has opened doors for Ashby and Pearl to promote the heart of God towards children in churches and government bodies, the latest being to address a tribunal of the BCCSA of how media affects children.

Ashby and Pearl live in Hillary, together with their two daughters Abigail and Sneha.

Marie Schoeman

Marie Schoeman

Provincial Director - Western Cape
Marié Schoeman, born in Zimbabwe, raised in South Africa, living in several countries, growing up as a MK (missionary kid!) with Godly parents dedicated to teaching the gospel to old and young. She too always had a heart for children since a young girl.  She first went on a missions outreach to Hereroland, Namibia aged 11 and then with CEF to Mauritius when she was 14 years old - she loved the open air meetings 5-day clubs she was involved in and God was already busy working in her life and heart for full-time missionary service.

After her first year at university, she went back to Mauritius with then CEF stallwart- uncle Chris Fourie- and was convinced of God's calling into the mission field.  After completing her degree at the University of Potchefstroom, she went to do CMI in Switzerland in 1994 which she completed and then went on to visit several established CEF offices and workers, Apeldoorn Netherlands, Belfast Ireland etc.  And prayed for God's plan and hand to lead her to the right country.  God eventually planted her back in South Africa as the local director in the Western Cape after 18 years as a fulltime volunteer for CEF in South Africa and also 6 years in Ireland.

She has been a proper fulltime worker since 2012 and is loving being where the Lord has placed her. Currently serving as The Western Cape Provincial Director, serving her province with a team of 6 other full-time workers and 40+ volunteers.
